This is a story from a few months ago.

I ran out of coffee beans. While I was waiting for the new order to arrive, I tried exploring quick fixes.

I opened Blinkit and typed in "coffee beans". It led me to Easy Pour packs from Blue Tokai.

"Why not?" was my immediate reaction.

In 15 minutes or so, I was brewing a cup with an Easy Pour packet.

All you have to do is open the filter bag and pour some hot water through it.

Coming to the taste, it's not bad at all. Fewer factors to tweak, yes, but it is good for a mediocre cup without any equipment (you only need hot water).

When did specialty coffee become this easy to brew?

Cost per cup amounted to around ₹50, which is higher compared to instant coffee or home brews, but it's worth experimenting because you can gauge if you need to invest in the equipment.
